I had the honor of photographing this Hollis, NH family of five as they welcomed their newest member home.  As if caring for a new baby isn’t overwhelming enough on its own, they also just moved into their new home.  Brandie called me in a panic, worried that we wouldn’t be able to properly photograph in her home since it wasn’t all put together yet.  Having lots of experience shooting on location in all sorts of homes, I assured her that the setting would be secondary to the love I would be able to capture – anywhere.  Many clients worry that their homes need to be “Pottery Barn perfect” and that’s simply not the case.  The authenticity of taking portraits in your own home is something that can never be created in a studio.  Besides, all of that open space (and beautiful light!) worked to our advantage.  I’m glad that she trusted me.

Olivia and Paige got their chance to be the star of the show too.  I’m pretty sure they could have spent the whole day having me take photos as they jumped on their bed!

The last shots of the day are often among my favorites.  This was no exception. 🙂
