When I attended my 1st senior prom, my sister, Lia, wasn’t even born yet.  I don’t remember too many details, but I do have a very distinct memory of getting ready and driving around in my friend’s car blasting “What’s Up” by Four Non Blondes.  Yup…just dated myself.

And here we are 18 years later.  It is hard to believe.

You didn’t have to convince me to photograph this event.  I couldn’t wait to get my lens on this beautiful face.  Isn’t my sister GORGEOUS?!

And she and her boyfriend are so darn cute together…

I photograph so many little kids; it was positively refreshing to work with teenagers!  Made me really realize how fun it is to work with this age group.  And I didn’t even have to sing and dance for them!

(although I did promise Shawn Smarties for good behavior) 😉

Because family pictures don’t have to be a bore…
