Last week I attended a lifestyle photography/business workshop with the great Michele Anderson of Pinkle Toes Photography.  The workshop was the highlight of the trip, but Austin TX itself was the icing on the cake.  Where else can you find a THIRTEEN piece big band playing in the back of a small basement pub – for free?  It killed me that I had been up since 4am catching my flight and that I had only one evening to explore the city.  There is live music (my favorite!) everywhere.  And the food!  Nom. nom. nom.  I’m still gushing over the meal I ate at Swift’sAttic.  If you live in or ever visit Austin, please do me a favor and order the purple curry and Squid “fries” and think of me, will ya?  Great, now my stomach is growling…

When we arrived at our newborn family’s home, we were greeted to a spread of freshly baked goods and tiaras.  Talk about southern hospitality!
