Easter is over, flowers are blooming, and I’m finally feeling confident enough to pack away the snowboots, hats and gloves in favor of warmer clothes.  With this excitement comes the start of “busy season” for us photographers.  I personally love shooting in spring when the weather is mild and humidity is in check (your hair and makeup will thank you), the grass is green, flowers are spouting, and people are just generally in great moods (leaving the house without needing 200 layers will do that!) Days are longer, but not so long that we need to keep young kids up way past their bedtimes to shoot the “golden hour” magic that happens right before the sun sets.  You cannot go wrong shooting at the beach any time of year and Great Island Common is one of my favorites.  I think it will be easy for you to see why when you take a peek at some highlights from this family session I shot there.
