I had the pleasure of photographing Brooklynn at her home in New Hampshire when she was 9 days old.   I love working with newborns at my client’s homes because every one is comfortable, in their own environment and has everything they need to care for the baby right there.  This makes for a relaxing and unrushed experience, which is so welcoming during those chaotic early days.  Sleepy from the minute I got there until the minute I left, Brooklynn was a dream to photograph.

For a split second she managed to open her eyes.  Then straight back to sleep she went!  I’m glad I was able to snap one frame with her eyes open. 🙂

 

Meet proud big bother, Brayden! Attached to my hip as I set up my gear, he let out a big “Awwwww” at the site of every baby blanket, wrap or hat.  He’s just the sweetest thing.  I can tell already that he is going to be a very caring big brother.

I love the simplicity of the contrast between big and little here.
