Ever have one of those days when you aren’t at your parenting best — not even close?  I’ve been feeling a lot of that lately.  My son is 2.5 now, and if we could learn how to harness the energy he and my daughter channel off each other, we would have our solution to the energy crisis. Although I can’t promise it would be “clean energy.”  Those two can destroy a room in 2 seconds flat.  Feeling exhausted and defeated by the chaos, I came across this blog post.  There is a reason it’s gone viral.  If you are one of the few remaining parents on earth who have not read it, I suggest you run and do it now.  This honest, sincere and validating look on parenting was just what I needed to read.

And lo and behold — In the middle of a toddler-induced bathroom flood and toys scattered everywhere but the playroom, I found my son in his element.  Time stood completely still and all I could do was smile at our perfectly imperfect life.  In this moment I found Kairos.
