Since Mother Nature appears to have forgotten the sun this Spring, today I’m living vicariously through our Wells Beach Maine family vacation photography from last summer. If you’ve been following my photography for a while, you know how special this place is to me. I’ve vacationed here with my family ever since I was a little girl and now we have the pleasure of sharing the magic of this place with our own kids. This summer coming up will be bittersweet – sweet because we are headed on what’s sure to be an amazing two week family vacation to Europe, but bitter because this means giving up our annual week in Wells. Though I’m sure I’ll be looking for any excuse to visit, so if you would like to hold a family session here, you won’t hear me complain (Hint hint!)
Without further ado, here are some highlights from our happy place:
The river side of the beach is one of our favorite spots to explore. You wouldn’t believe how many hermit crabs you can catch.
I don’t typically bring my camera out in midday full sun, but the beach is an exception. I love the combination of blue skies and white puffy clouds – no Photoshop enhancement needed. It really is that beautiful.
One of the best things about this trip is that we take it with my Mom. You can’t beat the unplugged, unrushed, quality family time.
